JC Riojas
OwnerJC has been in the insurance for nearly 20 years.Being a baseball player all his life, he often looks at insurance with the mindset of an athlete. In which both benefit from strategic thinking and a knack for solving problems. Knowing how to be a "team player", he believes the best part of his job is working with business owners to help protect their business through Commercial Property and Casualty insurance and Group Life and Health Benefits. Over the years, he has worked on insurance programs for small and large clients as well as municipalities and school districts. The name of the game is always to understand the needs of the business and offer competitively-priced solutions. "I’m living my dream…just without the dirt and sunflower seeds."
Adrianna Coronado
Account ManagerAdrianna Coronado joined the WiseCore team in 2020 as an Account Manager and uses her passion to provide personalized service and problem solving to build trusted relationships with our insureds. Adri, pronounced Audri, has over 10 years of customer service experience. She started her career on the carrier side of the house with Nationwide. Adri’s strong attention to detail and client-focused approach has been key to our continued growth and partnership with our clients. A native of the Rio Grande Valley, she relocated to San Antonio in 2014 and enjoys hiking the Hill Country and spending time with her boyfriend and their three dogs.
Chuck Upshaw
P&C Insurance ConsultantChuck joined the WiseCore team in 2025, bringing over a decade of experience in the commercial insurance industry. He began his insurance career in 2014 as a group Life & Health agent before moving to Property & Casualty in 2017. Chuck has developed a strong focus on serving clients in the construction sector as well as commercial property owners, including office, retail, and habitational buildings. Known for his market insights and client-first approach, Chuck is comfortable working with businesses across a wide range of industries. Outside of work, Chuck spends his time hiking, bicycling, reading, and looking for his cell phone. Chuck has lived in Texas most of his life with brief stints in Idaho and Washington. Happy memory - bicycling through Europe. Unhappy memory - ducking into a closet while a late-night tornado remodeled his home.
Mauricio Jimenez
P&C Insurance ConsultantMauricio Jimenez is a bilingual insurance professional fluent in both Spanish and English, with a deep passion for learning and exploration. He enjoys watching documentaries on science, history, nature, criminology, and forensic science, which reflect his curiosity and analytical mindset. With over eight years of experience in commercial insurance, particularly in commercial auto, Mauricio has developed a strong expertise in safety and risk management. He is certified as a Safety Director by NATMI and the University of South Florida, and his career is driven by a commitment to protecting businesses and promoting responsible practices across the transportation industry and the small & medium businesses arena. Outside of work, Mauricio values quality time with his family and is an avid sports fan, especially of baseball and both professional and college football.
Gabriela Perez
Account ManagerGabriela Perez joined the WiseCore Team in June 2025. She is a commercial insurance professional with 10 years of experience helping businesses protect what matters most. Having spent most of her career on the carrier side of the house, she is coupled with customer service experience and commercial knowledge expertise. Gaby is a graduate from UTSA and is passionate about health and wellness with preparing healthy meals being her favorite. She is a loving wife and mother of two boys and enjoys staying active with them while taking daily walks around their neighborhood.
AJ Felker
Associate Account ManagerAJ Felker joined the WiseCore team in January 2024. A proud Texas A&M alumnus, he interned with WiseCore during his college years. His commitment and hard work earned him a full-time role upon receiving his Bachelor of Science in Economics. Growing up in a small town instilled in him the values of hard work and determination, as well as a willingness to embrace opportunities outside his comfort zone. AJ thrives on discussing game strategies and sports stats and is always eager to dive into the latest football talk. His enthusiasm for sports and commitment to excellence continue to drive his professional journey.
Jessie Powell
VP Insurance SalesJessie joined the WiseCore team in 2021. With over 10 years of sales experience, Jessie’s knowledge and experience has played a pivotal role with WiseCore continued growth. She loves any opportunity to help others whether it is by improving their health or protecting their business with proper Commercial Property and Casualty insurance. Jessie specializes with our HOA’s insured and markets. She enjoys working with the boards to help them understand which coverages best protect their communities they serve. Jessie is a graduate from UTSA and spends her free time hanging out with her family or on the tennis courts improving her game.
Roland Martinez
Property Casualty Insurance ConsultantRoland joined the WiseCore team in 2023. After a 20-year career in the logistics field, to include a 14-year tenure at Microsoft, he found himself drawn to the insurance industry where he can help protect families and business owners from risks and uncertainties. He enjoys the challenge of finding tailored solutions to protect his clients' interests and believes in the peace of mind that comprehensive insurance coverage can bring. Roland is a loving husband and father of two sons. His passion for family, travel and sports is matched only by his enthusiasm for his career in the insurance industry. A die-hard sports enthusiast, he is always up for anything sports related. He believes sports teach valuable life lessons about teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.
